<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">I’ve had my good and
bad times with the Seraphina Parrish Trilogy, and to be honest I didn’t set my
hopes too high for the last book. It was a lot what I expected it to be, and
didn’t exactly capture my attention as much as the first. So if you feel rebellious
today, click on read more even though we both know you’re not up to the third
yet. And if you’ve made your way to getting up to reading <i>Seeing Light</i> then please humor my opinions. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">So where do we start.
Sera, Bishop, and Sam are back again in their last book and are here to go out
with a bang. They’re on their own now that Turner is dead, Cece is gone too, so
no more trouble there, but not everyone is ready to move on. Terease has been
sent to Nocturna and if that’s where Sera must go to get her answers, well I
think we all know by now Sera is definitely going. With or without her team’s
approval. So off she goes, gets here
answers and well as we might’ve predicted, it’s time for some big action.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

worst thing in the world, her entire life is a lie and she’s the only one who
can set this all straight. Not just for her but for everyone, the Society is
manipulating the powers of the Wanderers and someone needs to put a stop to it.
With the help of Bishop, Sam, and an animate Turner, Sera struggles with
setting things straight and staying sane. Oh and not to mention trying not to
get arrested or exiled at the same time. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">The only real complaint
I have with <i>Seeing Light</i> is all the
time travel started to leave me lost in time. There’s so much more time travel
in this last book, and I just started going insane when Sera was the future
Sera going back in time running into the past Sera who already knew she was
going back in time because she saw future Sera as past Sera when past Sera went
into the past. There’s a lot of Sera’s
so to say. Besides that moment of confusion <i>Seeing Light</i> was a sweet end. It’s
not very predictable I’d say, it’s got the action, the planning, the sneaking,
the breaking and entering. It’s got Gabe. Not just Gabe, but it’s got Gabe’s
apartment too, and I think we all just want to live in his closet for sure.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">So as <i>Seeing Light</i> (the title sorta makes
sense once you read it) comes to a close so do our visits with the Wandering
world. I like the way it ended, and odd enough I’m really glad that the issues
in the first story like Sera’s mother and lack of attention from her father got
answered in the end too. Nothing was left unnoticed and if you had any
questions at any part of the trilogy, you’re getting your answers no worries. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

Good Reads-<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">Seraphina’s keeping a secret from her Wandering team: she’s perfecting her fighting skills. But telling Sam and Bishop the truth would only alert them to her plan: to go back in time, save her mom, and finish what she started. With the help of Turner, Bishop’s handsome twin, she progresses toward her goal but plummets deeper into dangerous territory where the lines of friendship and romance are blurred. One passionate kiss changes everything, leading Sera to unravel a shocking web of family secrets, heartbreaking ulterior motives, and sinister agendas. Love and lies collide in a haunting climax, where the truest souls may not survive.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;">No. No. No. Noooo. This

smushed between wet doorknobs and when people clap at the end of a movie. (I
will never understand the clapping.) </span></span><i style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">Protecting

that? Now before I give y’all the low down on why I hate the Seraphina Parrish
Trilogy sequel, I shall attempt to explain it. Although, I doubt it’ll make any
sense being that </span></span><i style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">Protecting Truth</i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;"> may
have outnumbered the </span></span><i style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">Starcrossed</i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;"> Trilogy

I know, everyone </span></span><span style="line-height: 18px;">indulges</span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;"> in that </span><span style="line-height: 18px;">guilty</span><span style="line-height: 115%;"> pleasure now and then. <o:p></o:p></span></span></span></div>

yet leaves room for the story to continue, and I was eager to begin reading <i>Protecting Truth</i>. So when I finally
opened it up and read, well, bad things happened. I can’t even begin to explain
the plot, it's just as unclear as the first story; <i>Protecting Truth</i> didn't really have a goal, besides Sera finding
her mother. So as you can imagine while Sera is trying to balance her school,
relationship, friendships, not so friendly encounters, she is also training to
save her mother. Now add in a million random, irrelevant plot twist, and some
hidden secrets and you’ve got yourself a novel! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">I really didn’t like
how everything about <i>Protecting</i> <i>Truth</i> took what I knew and loved from <i>Wander Dust</i> and totally ruined it. All
of the characters have some sort of hidden secret, everyone from Aunt Mona to Terease is hiding some big bad secret that will change the
way Sera sees her life. Really, I feel like in the beginning of the book Sera
has her doubts about being part of the Wandering Society, and all the random
things in <i>Protecting Truth</i> just seem
to make it harder for her to want to be in the Society. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></i></div>

<i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Wander Dust</span></i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">
just started off as a time-slip romance and mystery, where all Sera wants is to
find out who she really is and who her mother was. Only now, it seems more like
Sera wants to go against the entire Wandering Society and start a rebellion. <i>Protecting Truth</i> felt like mishmash of
the Hourglass Trilogy, Shatter Me Trilogy, and something else I can’t put my
finger on. Being honest, I don’t think they’re working out so well together
either.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">This is like the
weirdest review I ever wrote but oh well now it’s done. I give <i>Protecting Truth </i>a 3.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">So, I tap danced around
reading <i>Wander Dust</i> for quite some
time now. The cover drew me in for sure, and the summary seemed interesting
enough, but nothing ever gave me that push to pick it up. I was searching
through my to-read list, and I decided that I should finally read the darn book
already instead of staring at it, and letting my mind drift off. The fact that
I learned for the first time the book would be about time travelers really gave
me a shove that was needed. Now that I read <i>Wander
Dust</i> I'm really really am glad that I did, it’s a great book, and here’s what
happens.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 115%;">Seraphina Parrish, is
an only child, she lives with her dad in Miami Beach, and her life’s goal is to
finally get him to notice her. She’s done the whole rebellious thing way too
many times, and after being “grounded for life” a handful of times, her father
decides to ship her off to her Aunt Mona. Sera moves in with Mona in her
Chicago home, and begins to attend Washington Square Academy, the same school her
mother and aunt attended. Anything that could put Sera somewhat closer to the
mother she never knew is a joy in her book, so she </span></span><span style="line-height: 18px;">isn't</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 115%;"> too phased on leaving
Miami for the </span></span><span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 18px;">Arctic</span><span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 115%;">. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

she finds out that she isn’t going crazy after all. For one, the boy she
mysteriously received a photo of months before, pops up on campus. She also
discovers that the women she figured was sent to kill her, is in fact a faculty
member, and the world isn’t closing in on her: she was simply wandering without
knowing. Wandering is what they call time traveling, and turns out<i> </i>her new school just so happens to
specialize in time travel. Sera gets paired up with a Seer, and Protector and
begins to learn the ropes of time travel. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

story was, it had amazing characters, witty lines, awesome time traveling
magic, heated scenes action and romantical (yes I just made up that word), but
it kinda fell flat on the actual plot. I know Sera was ultimately trying to go
back in time to find her mother, but I don’t feel like that’s what the story
was really centered around. It could’ve also been more a ‘finding herself’
plot, but at the same time I don’t feel like the story was meant to be that
way. Sera does grow a lot as a character, she makes mistakes, and is humble to
admit defeat. She stops her reckless behavior in attempts for her father to
notice her, and becomes a really great character. However, I don’t believe the
story’s plot was thick enough for it to be recognized. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Review:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">I finally jumped on the
John Green bandwagon and picked up one of his books, which happened to be <i>The Fault in Our Stars</i>. I honestly had
no idea what this book was about, all I knew was the reading her favorite book
thing, and it’s supposed to be sad. Whatever I gathered from the random little
things I’ve seen about it on the internet and what not. I usually don’t read too
many reviews when the book is so popular like that, because unless it’s a
blogger I follow or what not. Cause honestly, we all know it’s gonna be a bunch
of 5 star reviews about how amazing and touching the book was. No one is gonna
mention anything bad because it’s just their emotional reaction to write a
paragraph long “review’’ on how this book has changed them. One of the things I
hate in life but nothing to really do with <i>The
Fault in Our Stars</i> besides the popularity of the story. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Now, I am not one for
contemporary, but this year has like, been a year of it for me. I’ve read so
much that it’s almost normal and I stopped expecting a magical being or what not
to come out of nowhere and take the characters off to fairy land. The
thing with <i>The Fault in Our Stars</i> is
how much you expect from it, I’ve seen one John Green GIF and I knew he was a
mad genius already, so I knew the story was gonna be super well written. I also
saw the cancer thing and went “oh this is why the crying” but what I expected
was a total sad cancer book, mixed in with the cliché love story. The sad dying
girl gets her one long lost wish that she could find someone who truly loves
her, and here comes this super-hot perfect guy and BOOM it’s magic. Happily
ever after, and then she dies peacefully knowing she had as much as a life as
her cancer allowed. Well this book is kinda like that, but then again it’s not.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">The reasons why I like
it so much is because it’s not a cancer book, but in a way it still is. I made
the mistake of thinking the book is about Hazel Grace Lancaster, who’s the 16
year old narrating the story. She’s got some tumors in her lungs so they suck,
her doctors bought her some time by putting her one a drug that prevents the
growth of the tumors. Her current issues are lugging around her oxygen tank,
and her parents constant push for her to get a life really, and you know the
whole slowly dying. But then again, aren’t we all slowly dying? Some just
slower than others. I was wrong, really really wrong, cause the story isn’t Hazel’s
story, it’s Augustus’s story, his cancer book, so it is a cancer book, just
with Hazel telling it so it isn’t. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Anyways, Hazel is
telling Augustus’s story and it took me a bit to get the end, but here’s how
the rest goes. Like I said Hazel is 16 living with cancer, her mom forces her
to go to these Support Group meetings and one day she happens upon Mr. Augustus
Waters, who’s clearly not unattractive and actually shows some real interest in
her. One Natalie Portman reference leads to that magical cliché romance.
Although I like this romance because it isn’t that typical cliché blah romance
cause Augustus is pretty far from perfect, and his imperfections compliment Hazel’s
in a way that’s just simply lovely. So in the end it ends because one of the other
character dies, and it ends with their last words, so it’s a cancer book, it
just isn’t Hazel's. Usually I’d be heartbroken and dying to find out about the
other characters, but for some reason this ending made sense in a way that
doesn’t make sense. It was extraordinary.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><i>The Fault in Our Stars</i>
scores a 5 for me. Might be awhile before I have the courage to grab another
Green book though. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">I don’t know what to
think about this book. I guess it was okay. And I can’t find the right words to
describe it, so I’ll just say what happens. So the book is told from Cricket’s
POV, he’s our main character that went through some struggles in life and is
currently trying to find his way. Cricket lives in a Catholic home for boys, and since he’s about to turn 18 and graduate he needs to figure out
his next step. <i>Dear Life, You Suck</i> is
supposed to be one of those heartwarming stories about a lost and broken soul
finding their way in life. But honestly, all I can remember is the lame romance
and funny yet seriously inappropriate jokes, which were mainly uncalled for. To
me a lot of the crude humor was just a space filler to keep things from looking
too empty, but they sorta were. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">I came into this book
totally open minded and I think the biggest turn off for people is the language
that Cricket narrates the story in. To me it didn’t add or take away from the
story, it distracted from what was actually happening or lack of.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">This is a really short
and totally lame review, but I like, took forever to write it and completely
forgot everything that happened which is my own fault. I just wanted to write
something down, so whoever plans on reading <i>Dear
Life, You Suck</i> can be a little more prepared, I guess. I could just make a bunch of jokes about how his life turned into choosing the lesser evil, which one he could handle, although that would be me doing the same space filler thing. The bottom line is
that this book is a weird collaboration of a romance, (but too rushed to be emotional),
inspirational (sorta maybe) and struggle. My favorite thing about the book and
the most I could remember was how seriously Cricket took being a role model to
the younger kids. Sure, he wasn’t perfect, and even far from it, but he always
watched out for the little ones and their feelings. Which I thought was
adorable. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

to me; it wasn’t as empowering as I think it was written to be. Slightly
enjoyable, and scores a 2.5 on my charts!</span></div>

Inherent in these powers is a responsibility to take great care, because altering one small moment can have devastating consequences for the past, present, and future. But some time travelers are not exactly honorable, and sometimes unsavory deals must be struck to maintain order.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;">With the Infinityglass (central to understanding and harnessing the time gene) at large, the hunt is on to find it before someone else does.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 13.63636302947998px; line-height: 17.27272605895996px;">But the Hourglass has an advantage. Lily, who has the ability to locate anything lost, has determined that the Infinityglass isn't an object. It's a person. And the Hourglass must find him or her first. But where do you start searching for the very key to time when every second could be the last?</span><br />
<br />
Review:<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Okay so this book was a
disappointment, at least to me. I didn’t read anything for like a month or more
and then I picked up <i>Infinityglass</i>
and expected it to blow me away like <i>Hourglass,
</i>and <i>Timepiece</i> did. But it didn’t,
it was lameish and that makes me really sad cause it’s the end, no more <i>Hourglass</i> novels, and all we get for
closure is this stereotypical love story. Trust me, it hurts to just think the
words, let alone write them out. So if
you haven’t read the first two Hourglass books do so, cause they’re a heck of a
lot better and then read the review.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">I’m just gonna jump
into it all, so this time our main characters are Dune, who we know from the
first two books, and a new member Hallie. Poe, who was in the last book, you </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">remember
the guy who slit Em’s throat and then turned the clock around so she was alive
again? Yeah him, he’s in it too, and then towards the end of the book Kaleb,
Em, Lily, and Michael make a minor appearance. So first off it’s sad that the
last book didn’t center around the whole crew, or at least stay in the same
state. But duty calls and that means Dune gets set off to New Orleans, which is
really cool cause there’s a bunch of New Orleans stuff incorporated into the
story.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">So Dune and Hallie get
off on a rocky start but begin to work together to figure out the mysteries of
the Infinityglass. There’s isn’t much to say without spoiling the entire book,
mainly because it’s rather predictable. The thing that I didn’t like at all is
how things just fell into place in the last two chapters and POOF! Fairy
sparkles and magic wands wave around and everything is over. There isn't this epic
scene of awesomeness with intensity and all that cool stuff. It just like sorta
happens, and there's this whole boat scene which just reminded me of <i>If I Should Die</i> by Amy Plum cause that’s
got the boat scene thing too.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Overall, I’m not really
happy with the ending, I did like the epilogue it was cute, and maybe left room
for a spin off series? I feel really bad about Ava and Nate not getting their
chance for a story about them. There was a lot of untied ends, and <i>Infinityglass</i> wasn’t all that I wanted
it to be, and sadly scores a 3 for me. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<em style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">Dreamless</em><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;"> continues the story of Helen Hamilton, a shy girl living on Nantucket Island whose desire for an ordinary life was thwarted when she discovered she is a Scion, a descendant of a Greek god and a mortal. Each Scion has a power, and Helen’s is the ability to travel to Hades.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">Helen is determined to use her talent to stop a war amongst the gods and change her destiny, which is to live a life patterned after that of the tragic Helen of Troy. But her quest may cost her Lucas Delios, the boy she loves.</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Alrighy, so I mentioned
before that for me, the Achilles heel of trilogies are the sequels. I mean,
they’re that in-between that’s like almost there but just no. <i>Dreamless</i> was certainly no exception, <i>Starcrossed</i> got off really rough, but it
did eventually get better, once I picked up <i>Dreamless</i>
everything I loved in <i>Starcrossed</i>
went bad. I was annoyed with all the characters, it’s a pretty long book, and I
hate the gazillion and a half plot twist that were thrown in there. Every time
Helen got two steps forward the stupidest thing would pull her three steps
back. On the plus side, I love that <i>Dreamless</i>
literally picks right up after <i>Starcrossed</i>,
and being that I read the entire trilogy over the weekend it was awesome
feeling like I read one big book.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">To the main point, in <i>Dreamless</i> Helen has to do the
unthinkable and go after the Furies, which means hunting them down and finding
a way to defeat them in the Underworld. Hard? Why yes it is, every night she takes
trips to hell itself and back again, with a burden on her shoulders that’s
pretty hefty. I mean, trying to unlock all Scions from the one thing that has ever come between them? Haaard. Aside from the fact that I love that something
actually happened in <i>Dreamless</i>, the
rest of it blows. Majorly, it was just awful. All the characters were so
annoying, either they were whining and crying for themselves, or just doing the
stupidest of stupid things. Even Jason, who I loved, and thought he’d be
the calm level headed one went all flavors of idiot. I did however, begin to
like Cassandra a lot more, and the fact that she was included a lot more.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">You know when you’re
reading a book and for example they can’t climb up the tree? So in your head
you’re like “they would be able to get to the top if they get a ladder” and
then somewhere in the next few pages, someone has your idea. It gets shut down,
nonetheless but by a reasonable explanation, like the fact that ladders have
gone illegal. (Don’t judge me I needed a reason), anywho in <i>Dreamless</i> I had a bunch of those
moments. Only no one ever thought along side of me, and the reasonable ideas I
had never crossed the characters minds. Which is really sad because they’re
supposed to be smart and they couldn’t see what was right in front of them. It also sucked watching their lives fall to ruins because of that.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Moving on, I <i>Dreamless</i> (at least the title makes
sense) scores 3 for me. I didn’t like one sentence of it, and it was really disappointing. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

I'm joining the Seraphina Parrish Trilogy Tour. The books are by Michelle Warren and awesome, I'll be posting up November 1st with all three book reviews and some goodies.<br />

October! Finally it's autumn! Which is THE BEST season in the world! (Yes Rose, it is the best!) I love everything about it, from the gorgeous boots and sweaters, to the beautiful colors and leaves, I just love the thought of it. If I could just bottle it up and take it with me wherever I go I'd be the happiest person ever. I mean seriously who doesn't love pumpkins?! They just make the world happy! Getting back to the point, as awesome as October may be, it's not quite as awesome as <i>Shatter Me</i> is.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7Tl51eW2hKGaJsRbP-bLnzXZ31pE_S5tm3xWYBw3qG3tWROqQUwn-28ZrZKwqI40asjPEXocyxEq0lLmZy8Q5g96f_ZvkrbB41FiOo8xno920A0SX87c_umq_6e5jLnlywOwc6qQhsjvm/s1600/shatterme.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7Tl51eW2hKGaJsRbP-bLnzXZ31pE_S5tm3xWYBw3qG3tWROqQUwn-28ZrZKwqI40asjPEXocyxEq0lLmZy8Q5g96f_ZvkrbB41FiOo8xno920A0SX87c_umq_6e5jLnlywOwc6qQhsjvm/s400/shatterme.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
I will be the first person to get up and admit that yes, I thought <i>Shatter Me</i> sounded interesting at first. But when it was re-released with this gorgeous amazing super God sent cover I wasted no time and pick this lovely doll up. And boy was I glad I did. <i>Shatter Me</i> seriously left me at a loss for words. In case anyone has noticed, I never have nothing to say. It's part of who I am, just like my sarcastic attitude, and strange obsession for the color green. So it's safe to say <i>Shatter Me</i> didn't just blow me away, it blew me to bits.<br />
<br />
Why is it I love <i>Shatter Me</i> oh-so much? Well it's hard to explain without words but I'll give it a go. The emotion was one thing that totally drew me in. You feel so much for Juliette its incredible, she broke my heart so many times just because of how amazing a character she is. She's gone through so much in her life, yet she's still trying to be accepted. She's just such a pure and good hearted character even after her seriously awful beginning, watching her grow and find hope in something just makes you feel insanely awesome.<br />
<br />
Next thing, Adam, is like majorly hot. I mean, seriously who doesn't love an uber hottie in combat boots? And the fact that Adam and Juliette knew each other before, is just so freaking lovely I can't get over it. Next we have all the action, yes this book is so goodness gracious amazing! Action, romance, lovely characters. There's funny moments, heartfelt ones, sad ones, and so much it's hard to explain. Either way, <i>Shatter Me</i> is a story that will definitely rip you to shreds.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">You know, reviewing
books isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Especially if you’re like me and have a
knack for breaking your keyboard, apparently when I type I’m “bashing” my keys,
instead of gently hitting them. So now my space bar is broken, that’s a first
though, usually it’s the ‘s’ key that flies off. Now that space bar is broken I
have to push extra hard on it, which breaks it even more. So typing anything is
a pain, good thing I’m getting a new laptop before school starts! Woohoo! But
seriously, reviewing is less fun when you aren’t in love with the book. You don’t
really want to even think about it anymore let alone write about it, and it’s
not like you have some emotions you need to hash out. The only reason I even
read this book was because Ashton insisted. And it’s not awful, no<i> A Million Sun</i> isn’t the worst I’ve read
(sadly) but it isn’t good either. <i>A
Million Suns</i> is a sequel therefore this review may contains spoilers from
the previous book <i>Across the Universe</i>.
<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Now, let me try to
remember what even went on in the darn thing. Umm, OH! Yeah, got it now. So I
don’t really remember where <i>Across the
Universe</i> leaves off, but <i>A Million
Suns</i> picks with Elder now in charge, Amy lost in more ways than she could’ve
imagined, Harley is dead (only good character there ever was) and <i>Godspeed</i> the ship, is in total chaos!
Wohoo! <i>A Million Sun</i> is a journey for
Elder mostly I’d have to say. He’s grown up and assumed the role as the ship’s
leader and things aren’t ever as they seem. He tries so hard to do things the
right way and make everyone see how bright their futures could be, but no
matter what good he does it’ll never change the fact that he evidently is their
King. Taking the ship off the Phydus drug only made them crave even more
freedom, a freedom they’ll never have with an appointed ruler who’s also the
youngest person on the ship.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">Amy finds clues left by
Orion which lead her to her own adventure. As she tries to wrangle them up
and interpret the hidden meaning behind them, the ship begins a rebellion.
There are a few new characters introduced, Bartie is one of the larger roles.
There’s also a short story in Bartie’s POV in the YA Anthology <i>Defy the Dark</i>. There isn’t really
anything bad about <i>A Million Suns</i> its
original, the characters are somewhat likeable, there’s action, a hint of
romance, lots of mysterious events. It even isn’t that predictable, like I predicted
a few things, but I didn’t know who the killer was gonna end up being. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;"><br /></span></div>

When it came out I literally parked my butt on the couch and did not move until I was done reading it later that day, and when I found out the sequel <i>Bang</i> is gonna come out the same year it was like Christmas in January. Or was it Feb.. Now, I'm not so crazy about the name though, <i>Bang</i> not as catchy I guess, and I'm worried about it not living up to expectations. Not to mention sequels are usually hamartia of trilogies for me it makes me even more nervous. None the less I'm thrilled at the thought of reading <i>Bang</i> and I'm counting the very few days till it is released October 8 here in the US.<br />

Now I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mara Dyer Trilogy. My absolute favorite thing about it is the way it's magnificently written. If I could write like Hodkin, I'd be going around bragging about how I'm the best sentence constructor in the history of writing. I never ever ever reread books, and if I were to reread a book, it would be a few years after I originally read it. Giving some time for me to forget all the little things that I loved so I can rediscover them. But when it comes to the Mara Dyer trilogy, I want to reread them soo bad. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This trilogy is just so amazingly brilliant I can't get over it. But if I had to choose between a favorite, it'll be the first. Maybe because I'm a sequel hater, or maybe it's because the first book is what led me into this crazy world of amazing. I just love it so much words can't even describe. Everyone should seriously give it a chance and open it up. It's got romance, amazing characters, mystery, magic, all the witty comments you could ever imagine. It's just completely flawlessly unimaginably gorgeous in every aspect.</div>
